Eligibility criteria
Specialist: The applicant must have a PG degree or DNB in relevant discipline from a University/Institution recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidate should not be more than 38 years of age on February 1, 2014.
Medical Officer: The applicant must have a MBBS degree from a University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI). The candidate should not be more than 30 years of age on February 1, 2014.
Salary
Candidates selected as Specialists will be placed in ME-3 grade in the scale of pay of Rs 32900-3 percent-58000 and candidates selected as Medical Officers will be placed in ME-1 grade in the scale of pay of Rs 20600-3 percent -46500. Besides Basic Pay and Industrial DA, Non-practicing allowance (ranging from 20-25 percent of Basic Pay per month), Allowances as admissible under ‘Cafeteria Approach’, medical facility for self and dependant family members, company accommodation as per availability, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, LTC etc. will be payable as admissible under rules of the Company.  Application fee:
The candidates from the General/OBC category need to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Candidates from the SC/ST category need to pay an application fee of Rs 100. The fee needs to be paid by means of SBI Challan in State Bank of India in a specially opened Power Account (No.32469839252) at SBI, CAG Branch, Kolkata, on behalf of SAIL/RMD.
Selection process
Specialist: The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview.
Medical Officer: The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and interview. Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect. Medical standards stipulate minimum requirements of weight: 45 kg (35 kg for females); Height: 150 cm (143 cm for females); Distant vision: 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses; Near vision: J1 both eyes; Power of glasses should not exceed ± 6.0; Hearing: Normal

Important
