TWO top executives from the country's
largest lender SBI were honoured at the IAA Leadership Awards 2015.
Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairman, SBI was awarded the CEO of the Year
award, whereas B Sriram, MD, National Banking, SBI was awarded the
Marketer of the Year.

recognize and
felicitate marketers from various industries for the efforts they put
into their segment by enabling their brand promise and message to
further their respective brands’ propositions with consumers.
Organised by the International
Advertising Association (IAA) India chapter, the third edition of the
IAA Leadership Awards took place at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai's
Hyatt.
The event brought together the most
creative and strategic minds from the worlds of marketing, media and
advertising as they competed against each other for the coveted
awards.
Whereas Bhattacharya is well known in
the corporate circle, Sriram is a silent worker and has done a lot in
the expansion of the bank.
An aggressive marketing officer, a
versatile personality as well as a brilliant officer, B. Sriram has been
instrumental in expansion of the country's largest lender in the rural side.
B. Sriram has been the managing
director and group executive of national banking at SBI since July 2014.
Earlier, he also served as the MD of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur.
The officer also served as the chief general
manager of Delhi at SBI besides working in the same capacity of Rupee Markets & Global Markets at SBI.
He worked in various roles in domestic
as well as in international markets.
Sriram also served as a Director of
Gujarat State Energy Generation Limited, State Bank of India and HDFC
Venture Capital Limited apart from serving as a Non Executive
Director of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd.
He also served as a director of
National Bulk Handling Corporation Ltd.
A product of prestigious St. Stephen's
College, Delhi, he has a Physics background. He also holds CAIIB
certification besides holding an AIMA Diploma in Management.
