SAIL is hiring for 124 Technician Trainee posts

STEEL Authority of India (SAIL) has released an employment notification inviting candidates to apply for the positions of Technician Trainee. production at 17 million tonnes for FY17 and 20 million tonnes for FY18. The PSU also plans to target 70 percent sales in the northern and eastern regions and increase its presence in the Make in India sectors like defence, aerospace and nuclear power. Apart from this, the company intends to sell idle assets, and reduce inventories of steel. SAIL has already released an employment notification inviting interested, eligible candidates to apply for the positions of Operator-cum-Technician Trainee and Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee.

Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: The candidates interested in applying for this post should have passed matriculation and should have pursued three-year full time diploma in engineering from a government recognised institute in chemical, electrical, mechanical, metallurgy, ceramics discipline.
Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: The candidates interested in applying for this post should have passed matriculation plus ITI from a government recognised institute in electrician, machinist, welder, fitter and rigger trades only.
Age limit:
The age of the candidates applying for these posts must not exceed 28 years. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.
Selection procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test, skill test and trade test. They will be allowed to appear in the written examination only if they possess the valid photo admit card which will be available for downloading from the SAIL website.
Pay scale:
Operator-cum-Technician Trainee: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 10,700.
Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 8,600.
