Coal India is the largest coal producer company in the world also the 82% of coal production is contributed from India which is proud. The coal mining is under taken by Government in the year 1956.
Coal Indi is a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, is the single largest coal producing company in the World and one of the largest corporate employers of the country with manpower of 3.2lakhs approximately. It operates 413 mines in 82 mining areas across eight states in India (West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh & Assam). It has recorded gross sale of Rs.1,08,150.03 crore with profit after tax of Rs. 14,274.33 crore in financial year 2015-16. CIL produces over 84 percent of the country’s entire coal output and around 72 percent of the power generation in the country is supported by CIL. It virtually fuels and empowers the power sector in the country on a continual basis. In order to support our future growth and transformation challenges, the PSU has invited applications from young, energetic and dynamic persons for the post of management trainees.

Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 30 years for the general category candidates by 1st December 2016. Age relaxation details are mentioned in the notification released.
Application Fee: The general category candidates need to pay Rs. 1000/- towards application fee. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of the fee.
Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainees in E2 grade in the pay scale of Rs 20,600-46,500 during the first year. On successful completion of training and passing the test conducted for this purpose, they will be regularised in E3 grade in the scale of Rs 24,900-50,500 with a probation of one year.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be done with a computer based online exam which is purely provisional. Shortlisted candidates are called for the document verification.
