THE Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has said it will recruit engineers as executive trainees in various disciplines such as electrical, electronics, civil, and computer science based on their GATE scores of next year.
In an advertisement regarding the recruitment, the state-run electric transmission company said the number of posts and other details will be provided in a notification that will be published on its official website on January 4, 2018.

The selection process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2018, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
Eligible candidates will have to appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2018, i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE)/ Electronics and Communication (EC) / Civil Engineering (CE)/ Computer Science and Information Technology (CS).
Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE 2018 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stage of selection. Qualifying marks in GATE-2018 shall be as decided by GATE-2018 conducting authority.
Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2018, in the corresponding paper.
Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their login at the POWERGRID Online Application System.
The online registration for the vacancies announced will begin on January 5, 2018. Reservation will be provided to Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Disabilities based on the number of vacancies and government directive.
Candidates applying for the job should not be above 28 years as on December 31, 2017. Only those candidates who have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2018 will be eligible for recruitment. The qualifying marks shall be as declared by GATE 2018 organising body.
The selected candidates will be provided Rs 8.6 lakh during training and Rs 15 lakh per annum after training. They will have to sign a bond saying they will successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve for at least three years.
The last date for submission of online application is January 31, 2018.
