THE Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has released an official notification inviting interested, eligible candidates for Junior Manager (Safety), Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator).

The online registration process will start from November 5.

Total posts: 205

Name of the designation:

Junior Manager (Safety): 7 posts

Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): 170 posts

Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator): 28 posts

Educational qualification:

All the candidates interested in applying need to be matriculate or class 10 pass from a recognised board or university. For all other posts, the applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology (BE/BTech) from a recognised board or university.

Age Limit:

Junior Manager (Safety) and Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operator): The candidate should be in the age group of 18 to 30 years.

For other posts, candidates should not exceed the maximum age limit of 28 years. Meanwhile, candidates from the reserved category will get age relaxation as per the government norms.

Pay scale:

The selected candidates will be in the pay scale between Rs 16,800 to 24,110 and Rs 20,600 to 46,500.

Application fee:

The application fee for Junior Manager Post is Rs 500 and it is Rs 250 for other posts. While SC/ST/PWD/ESM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fee, others have to pay the fee in the same time frame of online application process.

Selection procedure:

For Junior Manager’s post, candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and interview. For other posts there will be a skill test/ trade test along with a written test.

The written test for Junior Manager’s post will be held at Rourkela and for others it will be held at Rourkela, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Cuttack. 'Date, Time and Place of the Written Test and Interview/Skill Test/Trade Test will be intimated to eligible / shortlisted candidates through E-mail/SMS and SAIL website,' as per the official notice.
